At A level, our students are totally committed to their love of languages and often carry them on at university. We intend to continue to build upon their cultural knowledge by providing them with stimulating and current material relating to the politics, society and popular culture of the chosen language. We also aim to introduce them to the rich tapestry that constitutes the literature and cinema of their chosen language. Developing confidence when discussing themes using the spoken language, is a focus in lessons and we have high expectations of students.
We hope to produce competent linguists and culturally aware students by the end of the course who are ready to embark upon the next stages of their lives, equipped with a wonderful skill that will continue to provide positive opportunities for them.
