Year 9 students recently took part in an exciting and inspiring Wellbeing Day, a joint venture with Wychavon District Council and the VALE PCN Trust. The day began with special guest speakers Dr Bramble and Rebecca Redfern MBE and Gold Medal Paralympian. The day featured eight engaging sessions, each designed to support students in becoming the best version of themselves. These sessions covered a wide range of important topics including diet, fitness, exercise, and emotional wellbeing, delivered by professional representatives from organisations including Hold the Door, KOOTH, Steer Clear, MIND, Melo, Fitness Festival and Active Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
These sessions offered practical strategies to help students manage everyday challenges and make the most of opportunities. The interactive workshops encouraged students to reflect on their own wellbeing and explore new ways to build healthy habits and boost resilience. From learning about wellbeing apps to practising Yoga and Physical Theatre, each session was well received by students who were actively engaged throughout the day. Students left the day feeling motivated, supported, and better equipped to look after their mental and physical health. It was a truly valuable and uplifting experience for everyone involved.
