On Friday 19th October, 31 Year 12 students were invited to visit our link Oxford College, Oriel. The day started with a workshop on making a strong university application which included personal statement advice, interview practice and a discussion about super-curricular activities. There followed a guided tour of Oriel by a current Oriel student who also answered questions from our students about life at Oxford and university more generally. Following lunch in the Oriel Dining Hall, there was a walking tour of Oxford to get a flavour of the city and to look at other Colleges, the Bodleian Library, the Radcliffe Camera and the Sheldonian Theatre. The day served as a really interesting opportunity for our Year 12 students to find out more about studying at university.
