Year 12 Mock Election: Votes Cast!

On Wednesday 17th June, Year 12 students finally headed to the polls and cast their votes in this year’s Mock Election. The vote marked the culmination of a fortnight of energetic campaigning, which saw candidates and their teams deliver speeches, take part in hustings, distribute posters and manifestos, and even produce campaign videos in an effort to win support from their peers.

The election has provided students with an excellent opportunity to engage with contemporary political issues, develop their public speaking skills, and experience the democratic process first-hand.

A special thank you goes to our team of Returning Officers, who organised and supervised the voting process and are now hard at work counting the ballots.

The results will be announced during a special Enrichment and Guidance session on Tuesday morning. Until then, candidates, campaign teams, and voters alike will be waiting with anticipation to discover who has secured victory…
