The Year 12 Geography students recently spent the day in sunny London, in line with their Human Geography work on ‘Changing Places’ and Physical Geography work on ‘Hazards’.
During the visit, students collected a variety of qualitative and quantitative in Notting Hill, to support their Human Geography case study work, as well as practise data collection methods for their forthcoming NEA coursework. Students explored Portobello Road and Portland Road, and enjoyed seeing some famous film locations along the way too!
The afternoon then saw students visit the Natural History Museum. Students enjoyed exploring the ‘Hazards’ floor, where they were able to develop their existing knowledge of plate tectonic theory, volcanic formations and earthquake impacts amongst other topics. Students particularly liked seeing the dinosaur exhibition as well!
