Free books were handed out to students at Prince Henry’s, by staff who had signed up to be ‘Givers’ on World Book Night, April 23rd. Staff chose a book to give out from the 20 titles available, to encourage students to read and which students could then pass on to friends after finishing the book. Each staff member involved had 20 copies of their chosen book to hand out. The event was very popular, and within a very short time, all the books had been given out! Mrs Barker, Head of the English Department, was the organiser of the event.
