Congratulations to Seb Ranner (Year 9), who has recently enjoyed considerable success in water skiing competitions.
During 2023-24, Seb has competed in a number of Men’s U14 tournaments under BWSW (British Water Ski & Wakeboard Federation) and IWWF (International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation) rules. In September he achieved overall 3rd place in the British National U14 championship. This included setting a personal best in the Jump class, when he flew 14.5m over a 1.5m high ramp at 45kph.
More recently he came 2nd in all three events at the Turps Trophy event in Gosfield, when he surpassed his scores from the National competition in Slalom and Trick and set another personal best by clearing 18.1m in the Jump class.
He will be moving up to the U17 category for the 2025 season, and clearly has a very bright future ahead of him in the sport.
