English Schools Athletic Association Regional Cross Country Cup
A team of five Year 9 and Year 10 girls from Prince Henry’s recently represented Worcestershire at the ESAA Regional Cross Country Cup at Walton Hall in Warrington. Run over a 2.8km course, which included hills and woodland, the conditions were quite boggy in places.
Charlotte Roberts finished in 2nd place, with Susannah Hoare in 4th. Satara Ferreira and Olivia O’Sullivan both finished in the top 40, while Lauren Farey injured her ankle in a fall which meant that unfortunately, she was unable to complete the race.
This meant that the Prince Henry’s team finished 4th overall (out of 10) – a great performance, although with only the first two teams qualifying for the national finals, sadly, it marked the end of our participation in the competition for this year.
