Uniform in the Sixth Form

OPTION A

*PHHS Navy and white pin striped blouse either ¾ length OR short sleeves – compulsory 
*PHHS Navy skirt, either the pleated OR straight style must only be purchased from our uniform suppliers OR PHHS Navy trousers with Sixth Form logo – compulsory 
*PHHS Sixth Form V- neck Cardigan- navy with blue trim OR PHHS Sixth Form V-neck Jumper- navy with blue trim – compulsory
*PHHS Sixth Form PE top – compulsory
Plain navy, black or flesh coloured tights or black or white socks – compulsory 

OPTION B

Plain white shirt of traditional style – long or short sleeved  – compulsory
Black school trousers of traditional length and width (canvas or jeans type trousers are not permitted) or the Navy colour classic flat front tailored shorts (School Shop) – compulsory
*PHHS Navy blue blazer OR PHHS Sixth Form jacket – must be worn around school and in all lessons – compulsory
*PHHS Sixth Form Tie –  compulsory
*PHHS Sixth Form V- neck jumper- navy with blue trim – not to be regarded as an alternative to the blazer – optional
*PHHS Sixth Form PE top – compulsory
Black or dark grey socks –  compulsory

In both options:

Formal Shoes:  must be plain black, with a heel no higher than 4cms.  Boots, canvas shoes, plimsolls or shoes that are above the bottom of the ankle bone, are not acceptable.

Coats: Denim and leather jackets are not allowed in school. All outside coats must be smart, plain and navy blue, black or grey  – no logos/motifs etc.  It should not be worn as an alternative to the school blazer.  Scarves must be plain and in dark colours and worn only in the winter months.

Hair: Dramatic changes in hair colour and extreme hairstyles are not acceptable, including when part or all of a student’s hair is cut, shaved with anything below a ‘grade 0.5’ or has ‘tramlines’.  Facial hair should be short, smart and neatly trimmed

Make-up: discreet if worn, nail varnish is not allowed.

Jewellery:  Only 1 pair of stud earrings is allowed, to be worn in the lower lobe.  Watches and / or one small ring are permitted. Large earrings and other jewellery are not allowed. No other body or facial piercings are allowed including nose and tongue studs.

Tattoos: must not be visible.

Sport: PHHS Sixth Form PE top is a requirement. Students should wear this with unbranded black leggings, joggers or shorts.  A Sixth Form Sports hoodie is also available, or students can wear a plain, navy unbranded hoodie or sweatshirt. They are expected to wear their own trainers for Sixth Form Sport.
