On Thursday 30th April, Dr Evans and Mr Freeman were invited to a ceremony in which members of the Evesham Abbey Trust received The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (The MBE for volunteer groups) from the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Mrs Beatrice Grant.
The Evesham Abbey Trust have over a number of years worked to restore key areas of the former Evesham Abbey area and the Trust have created a wonderful public space on the Abbey’s former site.
Mr Freeman, on behalf of the students and staff at the school received the thanks of the Evesham Abbey Trust and was awarded The King’s Award badge for the part he has played in supporting the Trust over a number of years.
