The Happy Pear visit

Today, we were delighted to welcome Stephen and David Flynn, the twins behind The Happy Pear, to Prince Henry’s High School. Stephen and David are involved with the upcoming Evesham Veg Fest, organised by The Evesham Place Board and supported by Wychavon District Council.

Our Sixth Form Food, Media and Business students enjoyed an inspiring talk about the brothers’ entrepreneurial journey, learning how they have developed their successful business and built a strong social media presence. The session provided valuable insights into entrepreneurship, marketing and brand development.

In addition, a group of our GCSE students took part in a more focused workshop, where Stephen and David delivered a practical demonstration on emulsification, showcasing a chocolate mousse recipe made with two ingredients. They also discussed the importance of local produce and food science. The session complemented the students’ current studies and gave them the opportunity to explore real-world applications of the topics they are learning in the classroom.

We would like to thank Stephen and David for sharing their experiences and expertise, and for providing such an engaging and informative visit for our students.
