On September 28th we will be taking 40 music students from Prince Henry’s down to the Royal Albert Hall London. They will join singers from Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, France, Germany and Flanders forming a massed chorus (called the ‘Centenary Chorus’), to perform Karl Jenkins The Armed Man, a Mass for peace. This will be accompanied by one of the world’s finest Symphony Orchestras, the Philharmonia Orchestra. This is all part of the countries commemoration of the outbreak of WW1. The organisation Sing UK are organising this event and this is the 5th year we have worked with them.
This promises to be quite an experience for our students and staff who have been working very hard on the work over the past 3 months. The piece that we performed on speech day was the movement titled ‘Benedictus’ from the work.

If you would like to take advantage of the ‘parents’ coach we would require a £20 deposit to hold your seat. The coach will be leaving from school on the 28th September at 6am.
