On Wednesday 5th July we held our annual Games & Sports Day with Years 9, 10, and 12.
During Games Day in the morning, a variety of outside and inside games took place with students competing for their Houses. Then later in the afternoon, the crowd cheered enthusiastically as the field contained both seasoned middle-distance runners and those who were there to do their best and gain valuable House Points. The five Houses were well represented and their team managers organised and encouraged their participants to be higher, faster and stronger than the rest. There were some excellent performances on the track.
Ice-creams and ice-lollies were sold to keep the crowd cool and they were in fine voice for the relay events, which took place to close the afternoon. The ethos and togetherness of each House were exceptional. There was genuine excitement when the final positions were announced.
