SING! at Symphony Hall

THE PRINCE HENRY’S HIGH SCHOOL SINGERS

On Monday 10 February 2014 Symphony Hall, Birmingham will be alive with the sound of singing as the West Midlands Federation of Music Services stages its fourth joint authority singing event.

In the evening there is a concert featuring a massed choir of KS2/3 pupils, conducted by David Lawrence and solo performances from high standard vocal groups of young people from across the West Midlands. The Prince Henry’s Singers – an auditioned vocal ensemble – directed by Head of Music Mr Phill Bullas,  have been invited to represent Worcestershire and will perform two pieces on the stage at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham; Erik Whitacre’s ‘The Seal Lullaby’ written for SATB and piano accompaniment, and Billy Joel’s Lullabye (Goodnight My Angel), an 8 part  a cappella piece. The opportunity to work with David Lawrence, one of the best choral conductors in the country is rare and exciting as well as educational and inspiring.

Tickets are available from the Symphony Hall box office and cost £7.00 for adults and £4.00 for children.
