SEW KIND OF THE SILK BUREAU
The Silk Bureau, Evesham, has donated fabric to Prince Henry’s High School to support students in the Textiles department. The donation included a variety of fabrics such as Crepe de Chine, Cotton Half Panama and luxury Satin. The students are delighted to work with these fabrics that would ordinarily be unavailable to them as part of their A Level work. Prince Henry’s is very thankful for the kind donation by The Silk Bureau.
Mrs Clover Parker-Winters, Head of Textiles at Prince Henry’s, commented,
“We are truly delighted to receive these wonderful donations from The Silk Bureau. It has enabled our students to explore hand dying and sculptural stand work in highly exploratory ways. Working with such a diversity of beautiful fabric is not only incredibly inspiring to our students, but also allows them to explore freely without needing to worry about the practicalities of purchasing their own materials. It offers us all an amazing opportunity to see students push boundaries and their own potential.”
