Science Week at Prince Henry’s

On 23rd and 24th March, students in Year 9 and Year 10 celebrated Science Week with the theme of ‘Connections’.
This year, the activity was a bridge building competition, which took place during form time. Students were divided into teams and given the task of constructing a bridge using only sticks. The aim was to create a sturdy structure that could support the weight of objects around the classroom.

The teams worked together to design and build their bridges, carefully considering the best way to arrange the sticks. The students in Year 9 and Year 10 with the most impressive engineering skills and team work were awarded a prize.

Science Week at Prince Henry’s High School was a huge success, encouraging students to think creatively and work together to explore the fascinating world of science. With activities like the bridge building competition, students were able to see firsthand the importance of connections in science and how they can be used to create incredible things.
