SCHOLARSHIP BURSARY FOR SHANTI DAFFERN
Former student, Shanti Daffern, has been awarded a scholarship bursary from OCR to support her in her studies at Peterhouse, Cambridge. Shanti, who gained 3 A* and 1 A grades in her A2 examinations this summer, is one of only ten students across the West Midlands to have been awarded the bursary this year.
The bursary, which is worth £3000 a year, is designed to assist talented students from the West Midlands to make the most of their opportunity of studying at the University of Cambridge.
Shanti was invited to OCR headquarters at the University of Warwick to receive the award and representatives of the school were also invited to the presentation and celebratory lunch.
Shanti is starting her course studying English Literature at Peterhouse this month.
