SAFEGUARDING PRAISED AT PRINCE HENRY’S

I recently visited Mr Freeman, Designated Safeguarding Lead, for our regular update meeting.  Mr Freeman continues to develop and enhance the current safeguarding provision provided by the school in line with statutory guidance. Mr Freeman has undertaken appropriate refresher courses.  Planned training has also taken place, including the performance in school of an anti-extremism /radicalisation production “The Echo Chamber” by a touring company.

The well-publicised nationwide cuts to local authority budgets for children’s services (which have also affected the level of safeguarding guidance and support available) are a continuing cause for concern to everyone involved in working with children and young adults, and these have affected Worcestershire.  However, the school is fortunate to have very experienced and well trained personnel who will continue to support their pupils in the best way possible, despite the uncertain climate that we are currently experiencing.
