What a special day/evening we had on Friday 16th October. The Performing Arts students had an afternoon workshop with Robert Vincent, led by Anna Corcoran. Robert is one of the UK’s acclaimed voices in Americana, folk and country music. Anna holds a PGCert in Voice Pedagogy and currently performs internationally with the Keifer Sutherland Band, as well as being named Instrumentalist of the Year at the UK Americana Awards 2021.
Anna crafted the workshop beautifully, arranging three songs in just two hours. The students then joined Robert Vincent, Anna and Danny on stage to perform in the evening. It was the first time they had used a live choir on stage to perform with them, and the students were fantastic. They sang ‘Battles’, ‘Demons‘ and joined in with the upcoming single, ‘Love Not Hate‘ that is being released next month. The students made the evening truly special and were a total credit to the school. Members of the audience were incredibly impressed with our students and their professionalism and talent.
As part of the school’s Arts Mark journey, it has been a real pleasure working with these incredible professional artists, and we thank them for their time and expertise.
