On Wednesday, 18th December, I traveled to London to attend Prime Minister’s Questions. It was a fascinating day because I got to see the House of Commons and explore other parts of Parliament that I had previously learned about during Citizenship lessons. I was fortunate to receive an invitation from my local MP, Chris Bloore, following my work experience.
During my visit, I spotted several well-known figures, including Nigel Huddleston, the MP for Evesham; Lindsay Hoyle, the Speaker of the House of Commons; Kemi Badenoch, the leader of the Conservatives; Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform; and even Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister.
Overall, it was an incredibly insightful experience, and I gained a much deeper understanding of how Parliament operates.
