I visited the RE department on Friday 14th March. It was good to spend time with Mrs Short, Head of Department. The department generally seem encouraged by the numbers who look to be opting for GCSE RE from September.
I had been invited to observe a year 10 lesson – where they were revising Medical Ethics. Mrs Short asked if I wouldn’t mind being a ‘resource’ for Euthanasia, Suicide etc, etc.
I was impressed with the level of discussion and the questions that were asked of me with regard to these complex issues.
