One enchanted evening the King and the Queen of the fairies along with the mischievous Puck were spreading their magic in the woods. The magic spread well beyond the woods as the audience were also transported to fairyland. The story of love and celebration was presented with a 1940’s twist and the addition of music meant that the theatre came alive with the intrigues that unfolded. All of the cast, musicians, singers and crew were fantastic and as always left the audience excited by the performance.
As the English curriculum in school changes to include more Shakespeare this was the most amazing way to ignite the interest of our students in his work. The visitors for the preview shows from St Egwin’s and Bredon Hill Middle Schools gave the cast a standing ovation and left here dreaming of the future productions they will be part of. This epic performance was a team effort and boy what a team. Well done to all involved.
