For the last few months, I have been working closely with Dr Evans and the Senior Leadership Team to advise and support the development the Leadership and Governance Structures for our Proposed Multi Academy Trust. Following a visit by a representative commissioned by the DfE to examine our proposals, our vision for a MAT has now been endorsed by the Regional Schools Commissioner and his Headteachers Board for the West Midlands. They see this as a positive and exciting step for the education of children in the Prince Henry’s pyramid. This is an enormous project for Dr Evans and his peer Headteachers, and as a Governor here at Prince Henry’s I am privileged to be able to support this important development. Dr Evans and I are beginning our preparations to speak to member schools in March. Dr Evans and colleagues from the school have also visited an established Multi Academy Trust in Nottingham to see how they operate and as a result of that visit we have now developed some excellent links.
