The MasterChef Final was excellent again this year. It was judged by Mrs Barker, Mrs Webb, Mr Loader, Mr Roleston, Mrs Davey and a selection of Sixth Form students. They thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes.
They started with the Year 9 main courses, which included a delicious selection of marinated chicken served with egg fried rice and Hunter’s chicken. Congratulations to Jacob, Laurie, and Kamran who produced the winning dish of Hunters chicken, cheesy mash and green beans.
The Year 10 desserts followed and they were extremely refreshing, with the focus being on fruit. The judges tried an almond and raspberry Paris Brest alongside a trio of raspberry-based desserts, which included a roulade, frangipane tartlets, and a bavarois. Congratulations to Patryk and Freddie who produced the winning dessert of almond and raspberry Paris Brest. Extra special congratulations to Freddie Rampling, who won MasterChef in years 9 and 10.
