Following a rigorous recent external audit visit Prince Henry’s High School has been reaccredited with the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) – Centre of Excellence status. This is a prestigious national recognition that affirms our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and aspirational learning environment for all members of our school community.
The Inclusion Quality Mark acknowledges that the school has demonstrated excellent inclusive practice and that the school works actively to promote equality, diversity, and respect across all areas of school life.
The IQM assessor commended the school for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and the culture of mutual respect that permeates every aspect of school life. The IQM assessor’s feedback specifically highlighted the school’s commitment to the wide range of extra-curricular activities on offer, the continued skilled and supportive approach taken by the school Diversity Co-ordinator’s, the holistic provision which supports all students’ skills, talents and abilities and the work of ‘The Bridge’ programme.
This recognition by the IQM organisation is a testament to the positive engagement demonstrated by our students to the inclusive atmosphere within school as well as the support provided by parents/carers, and the wider school community. It reflects a whole-school approach to inclusion that is embedded in our policies, our curriculum, and our day-to-day interactions.
As a designated Centre of Excellence, we look forward to continuing our development, sharing our inclusive practices with other schools, and striving for even higher standards.
