Interact held its annual conference today to review this school year’s activities and plan for next year. There were twenty-six students from all years taking part. The students came together to research and discuss charities for next year and elect a new committee. Interactors got to know each other better, working together and enjoying lunch, following a busy schedule of activities.
Amnesty International and Midlands Air Ambulance are our current charities for this school year. So far, Prince Henry’s has raised over £3700.
After a great deal of research at the conference Interact is pleased to announce Prince Henry’s will support the LGBT Foundation, a national charity with LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. They celebrate and empower LGBTQ+ individuals and diverse communities to realise their full potential, every day.
The international charity chosen was Cool Earth, which protects rainforests and works with Indigenous leaders and in-country NGOs to get the donations where they are needed most.
Shreya Lad was voted in as President supported by Tom Hill and Amelia Andrews as Vice Presidents. Emily Byrd and Mackenzie Huddleston are our new Secretaries and Tamsin Smith is Treasurer.
Interact is delighted to have a new committee and after a successful conference, is refreshed and the students are motivated to work hard planning more fun events in the upcoming year.
