On Tuesday 20th October, all members of Holland House gathered in the Henrician Theatre for an assembly celebrating the achievements of their peers.
House Point Awards were presented to 46 students who have been recognised by their teachers for working diligently and embodying the Prince Henry’s values, both in the classroom and beyond. Due to this hard work in and out of the classroom last academic year, Mr Loader (Head of Houses) had to put a new platinum badge into rotation, which is given to those students who achieve 240 house points. The new platinum badge was award to the following students by members of the Senior Leadership Team: Noah Foster, Polly Newman, Rosie Chatterton, Imogen Owen, Bess Taylor, Rose Unwin, Charlie Furniss and Isla Hurst.
There are many upcoming opportunities for students to represent our House, including Inter House matches, the STEM Challenge, MasterChef, and Retro Gaming. There are additional opportunities for students to represent their houses and peers on the house and diversity council, with more details after the half-term break. All of these events lead nicely up to our inaugural Christmas House Competition.
At the next House Assembly, I hope to see even more Holland students on stage. We want to celebrate not only the outstanding work they produce in lessons, but also those who arrive promptly every morning, maintain excellent attendance, and put themselves forward for the many inter-house competitions available at Prince Henry’s High School.
Miss R L Fenney
Head of Holland House
