Holland House Assembly

On Wednesday, 29th April, all members of Holland House gathered in the Henrician Theatre for an assembly celebrating the achievements of their peers.

We recognised the continued effort of all students within Holland House, however there was a particular focus on those students in Year 13 and Year 11, as this was the last formal opportunity to thank them for their support this academic year, prior to them heading on study leave.

Additionally, we reflected on some previous house events, as well as acknowledging the outstanding dedication from the Year 11 students who have represented Holland House over the last 3 years in inter house Hockey, Netball and Rounders. These students have won all tournaments they have played in, accumulating 32 wins and 0 losses, which is an incredible achievement!

Following this, House Point Awards were given to students who have been recognised by their teachers as having worked diligently and embodied the Prince Henry’s values, both within the classroom and beyond. Members of the Senior Leadership Team presented 42 Holland students with awards in total. With Mia Newman, Olivia Kinmond, Lila Bacon, George Collett and Charlie Furniss being awarded their House Award for achieving 240 house points, and Karina Krasimirova being award Prince Henry’s Special Recognition Award for achieving 300 house points.

I hope to see even more members of Holland House on stage receiving awards at the next House Assembly and being congratulated not only for the outstanding classwork they produce, but also for arriving to school promptly every morning, wearing their uniform with pride, maintaining excellent attendance rates and putting themselves forward to participate in some of the many inter-house competitions available at Prince Henry’s High School.
