Christmas has officially started.
The Christmas Celebration on the evening of 17th December in the wonderful Henrician Theatre involved over 75 students singing, playing instruments and performing readings. What an amazing wealth of talent Prince Henry’s has. Every student who took part excelled on the night. As always, they were supported by many of Prince Henry’s staff in a wide range of capacities. Thank you all so much for kicking off my Christmas.
There were many highlights over the course of the evening, but the one I am sure we will all remember for a long time was the puppet show Bethlehemian Rhapsody, a very clever adaption of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. It involved so many of the Drama students controlling the puppets, singers hidden from view singing adapted words to tell the Christmas story, and the very gifted musicians performing what is a notoriously difficult piece of music to play. Not only was this performance funny and entertaining but it summed up Prince Henry’s. The students worked together to make this work; no one stole the limelight; and everyone enjoyed themselves.
Well done to you all and thank you To Mr Bullas, Mrs Cook, Mr Fisher and all who helped to make it such an enjoyable evening.
