Governor Visit (ICT) 9th January 2023
It was a pleasure to visit the ICT department as link governor to catch up with the department’s latest news.
Head of ICT Hanna Berry retired at the end of the academic year 2021-22. We wish her all the best and thank her for her hard work over the last 23 years.
Mr Brant has taken over as Head of Department. He has a great deal of experience in the ICT Department and, having worked alongside Miss Berry for many years, he told me that he felt very comfortable with continuing all the good work and leading the department forward.
New members of staff had and would be joining the department and Mr Brant felt that, with a full complement of staff, the department would go from strength to strength.
The new layout of the office and additional space ICT has acquired has helped enormously, allowing a better flow of information around the office and between the members of staff. The ICT staff are feeling happy and positive in their roles, and enjoying teaching the students.
Mr Brant told me that the current year’s GCSE and A-Level students are working hard, and are on course to achieve the results they deserve.
The aim for this year is to really sell ICT GCSE and A-Level to the students and boost the numbers that take these exams.
It is always positive visiting the ICT department at Prince Henry’s; I wish all the students the best for their upcoming GCSEs and A-Levels.
Thank you to Mr Brant and his team for all their hard work and dedication.
Mrs Joanna Brett
Community Governor
