Grease is the word!! Well it certainly was the word at Prince Henry’s last week. What a sensational performance put on by the Drama and Music departments. Thank you so much Mrs Cook and Mr Bullas for investing so much time and effort to allow our students to shine and encourage them with their passion for theatre. The students were energetic, enthusiastic and obviously enjoying themselves. Everyone in the theatre, performers, parents and carers, musicians, backstage and lighting crew were thrilled by every moment of the production. The theatre came alive with great singing, acting and great music. The stars of the show shone and had great chemistry enabling us to capture the romance of this wonderful musical rom com.
The stage play of Grease was originally performed in 1971, the film that we continue to enjoy was released in 1978 but it is still aired on TV on a regular basis. The feel-good factor, the iconic tunes and the nostalgia means we never tire of watching it and the PHHS production certainly didn’t disappoint. Prince Henry’s has excelled once again with this sell out production. Thanks to everyone involved in any way, I can’t wait to hear what is planned for next year.
