Prince Henry’s is thrilled to announce the achievement of Mrs Deakin, the head of Citizenship, who has been honoured with the prestigious UK Parliament Teacher Ambassador Gold Award. This award highlights her dedication to promoting awareness of parliament and democracy, not only within our school but also across the wider community.
Attaining the Gold Award from the UK Parliament is the culmination of efforts by the school, marked by various activities. These include a comprehensive three-day training programme at the Houses of Parliament, an enlightening question and answer session with Baroness Pitkeathley, a workshop conducted by the UK Parliament outreach team, and the encouragement of all A Level students to register for the electoral role, among numerous other initiatives.
Mrs Deakin, expressing her gratitude, shares “I am honoured to have received the highest level of recognition as a teacher ambassador for the UK Parliament, a testament to the collective efforts of colleagues and dedicated students.”
