GCSE RESULTS DAY
Following on from the wonderful A-Level successes last week, we have been delighted with the GCSE results achieved by our students at Prince Henry’s High School. The overall results for 2015 have been exceptional. Some of our stunning performances include Sophie Metcalfe achieving an amazing 13A* grades, closely followed by Isaac Pillar and Laura Snape each achieving a brilliant 12A* grades and 1 A grade. Impressively, 27% of students gained 5 or more A*-A grades and 10% of the cohort achieved a stunning 10A*-A grades, exceeding our best ever scores for these measures. Also, a very pleasing 28% of all the grades were at A*-A and 53% were at A*-B.

In terms of some of the benchmark figures, over three quarters of all the grades were between A*-C and 70% of the cohort achieved 5 A*-C passes including Maths and English. Many of our students worked extremely hard to achieve their target grades and progress measures across all subjects were excellent.
Dr Tony Evans, Headteacher, commented “I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to the students. Our motto at Prince Henry’s is “Great things grow from something small”, and the GCSE achievements this week, coupled with our impressive A-Level results last week, are a testament to this. These exceptional results are a tribute to the incredible hard work and dedication of the students, staff, parents and the governing body. I am extremely proud of all of our students and I offer my warmest congratulations to everyone concerned”.
