When the instruction is to “strap yourself in, it’s going to be wicked”, you know you are in for something special. All of the musicians in the Evening of Chamber Music definitely delivered. It was like opening a box of delicious chocolates, the flavours of Mozart contrasted beautifully with folk tunes. The established talent of Year 13 was showcased, but balanced with the fantastic performances of rising stars from the lower years. We were transported on a musical tour of Europe from Malvern to Madrid, and Salzburg to Connemara. I hope Bavaria and Austria are ready for the wealth of talent Prince Henry’s will bring to them in the summer tour. The Hills around Salzburg will definitely resonate with the Sound of Music! Thanks to all involved in this fantastic evening.
