Actor Edward Bennett visited the drama department again this year to deliver two workshops to Year 11 and Years 12/13. The GCSE students explored their set text, ‘Romeo and Juliet‘, looking at the balcony scene and the Sixth Form practically workshopped Beatrice and Benedick in Act 1, Scene 1 of ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. The students were really inspired by Edward’s ideas of vocal delivery and how to create meaning by using ethos, pathos, and logos. These ideas were explored and built upon with excellent outcomes. All of our students thoroughly enjoyed working together as a professional company and finished with a Q&A session with Edward.
