Democracy Day Champions!

We are incredibly proud of Harrison Creed, Jasper Mallon, Anoushka Lad, Louis Hughes and David Rusnak who represented our school at the Wychavon District Council’s Democracy Day competition—competing against several other local schools, including previous winners—and emerged as the overall champions!

The team impressed the judges with their thoughtful proposal for introducing a one-way system around the local school area. They not only developed a clear and practical idea but also gathered a petition with a significant number of signatures to support their case. Their presentation was delivered expertly, passionately, and with real conviction. They truly did both the school and themselves proud.

Their outstanding work was recognised with a certificate and a trophy for being the winning team.

Throughout the day, the students also took part in a range of democracy-themed activities, including a mock election for a new council leader and a budgeting challenge where they allocated a fictional council budget to improve the local area.

Well done to our fantastic team!
