On Tuesday, 4th November, all members of Deacle House gathered in the Henrician Theatre to celebrate the achievements of house members.
Among those recognised were the newly elected House Ambassadors and House Leaders for Deacle:
Year 9 House Ambassador – Ya-Zhang Wen
Year 10 House Ambassador – Natalia Senkyr
Year 11 House Ambassador – Ella Lewis
Year 12 House Leaders – Alex Stowers and Iko Kraan
Additionally, those who have taken part in recent inter-house sporting fixtures received our appreciation for their efforts on the Rugby and Hockey pitches.
Following this, House Point Awards were given to students who have been recognised by their teachers as having worked diligently and embodied the Prince Henry’s values, both within the classroom and beyond. Members of the Senior Leadership Team presented 21 students with awards in total, with Ella Lewis and Kai Houghton, getting special recognition of achieving their House Awards for collecting an excellent 240 house points. A real example for the rest of the house to look up to, they should be rightly proud of their efforts.
I look forward to seeing even more members of Deacle House on stage receiving awards at the next House Assembly so we can congratulate them not only for the outstanding classwork they produce, but also for arriving to school promptly every morning, maintaining excellent attendance rates and putting themselves forward to participate in some of the many inter-house competitions available at Prince Henry’s High School.
