CULTURAL DAY 2016
Year 9 students were served up a real treat when Felice Tocchini made a guest appearance at Prince Henry’s Cultural Day this Monday.
Felice took time out from running his family-run, award-winning restaurant ‘Fusion Brasserie’ in Stoulton, just outside of Worcester, to bring a tantalising taste of Italy into the classroom. Felice is no stranger to the classroom because as well as teaching at Eckington Manor Cookery School he also teaches at the acclaimed “Novelli Academy” for celebrity chef Jean Christophe Novelli, which was named in the top 25 best cookery schools in the world. Unsurprisingly he has also appeared on television many times on ‘The One Show,’ ‘Countryfile,’ and ‘The Gadget Show.’
Prince Henry’s has just been re-accredited with the British Council’s prestigious International School Award 2016 – 2019 for the third time running. The Year 9 Cultural Day is just one of the ways the school shows its commitment to embedding a rich and creative range of international work. Ellen Bloom, the school’s International School Award Co-ordinator described the day as “a fabulous opportunity for our Year 9 students to enjoy a special timetable of cultural enrichment and diversity.”
