National U15 Chance to Shine Cricket Competition
Prince Henry’s defence of the national title we won in September 2013 is going well. Having already won the County round of the competition, in July the team were crowned champions of the Midlands Region.
The boys saw off the County Champions from Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire in our group before beating the Shropshire winners in the final. The standard was even better than last year and so the achievement from the team can’t be underestimated.
We will now progress to the National Finals to be played at Northamptonshire CCC on September 16th where we will compete against the winners from the North, South East & South West in the battle to be crowned National winners.
Congratulations to the team: Dom Fenney, Joe Vose, Gio Capaldi, Michael Towey, George Guy, Bradley Izod, Archie Webster, Adam Kirk, and Selwyn Jones (reserve), as well as Mr Bridgens and Mr Pilling who have coached our cricketers so successfully this season.
