Chairman’s Visit

I attended the school on the morning of Friday 5 June 2015 to discuss a number of exciting developments with Dr Evans.  I had the chance to walk around the school site and we spent some time reviewing the building development for the new Languages block.  This project is incredibly exciting, and although the staff and students have had to manage this year while part of the school has been turning into a building site, the new classroom block will make  a huge difference to the Learning environment for the pupils.  The latest award of £1.2million for the

refurbishment of science laboratories is generating lots of interest within school and Dr Evans shared some very exciting plans with me.  We hope to see the works completed in the Science Department over the next eighteen months and we are very grateful for the support from the EFA for this wonderful opportunity.  Mrs Fisher our Head of Science has in recent years led the department with great distinction following our Outstanding Ofsted in 2011, and the new injection of funding is very much deserved for our students and her department.  I also had the opportuinity to meet with Mrs Ann Mundy from the Worcester Diocese Education Department Team to discuss how our intended Multi Academy Trust will work with the joining Church of England Schools.  This is a very exciting development in the next stage for the Prince Henry’s pyramid.  I am now very much looking forward to Speech Day and recognising the wonderful achievements of our students.
