As part of my role as Chairman of Governors, I visited the school on Thursday 16th January and had a very informative meeting with Dr Evans. Following our meeting, we toured the school and visited several classes. I have to say the atmosphere in each class visited was extremely positive.
I discussed with Dr Evans the national and local issues that are emerging in relation to the educational landscape, the developments that have taken place recently in relation to the fabric of the school building, school finances, and how Prince Henry’s is self evaluating itself in relation to the high targets the school hopes to achieve during this academic year.
There is a lot to look forward to this term including the forthcoming Parents’ evenings, the musical Anything Goes and the Chamber concert. Dr Evans also shared with me some exciting plans to further develop the Arts Theatre. There are many more initiatives which are taking place which Dr Evans will share with the community through his newsletters and the website.
