Following her recent success when she won the county championships, Casarena Ferreira Y9 took part in the National Cross Country Championships in Blackburn last Saturday, representing Hereford and Worcester County. Cass ran a distance of 3200 metres in a stunning time of 12 minutes 8 seconds, placing her 30th out of 345 runners. She was the first county runner home. Cass was only 15 seconds off gaining a national place in the England Team.
