Statement regarding County Transport
We understand there is dis-satisfaction with new arrangements regarding certain bus routes. The responsibility of School Transport rests with the Local Authority and not the school. The school does not organise contractors used, or bus routes determined.
If you are unhappy with any new transport arrangements, we strongly advise that you do take this matter up with County Transport. The school has been challenging the Local Authority for a number of months in terms of the punctuality of the buses to arrive and leave the school at the scheduled times. Our role as a school is to inform parents of contract and timetable changes and to ensure students arrive to and from school on time. These changes were confirmed to school on Wednesday 16th February. Please be advised that the school has no role in determining contracts or costings for County Transport and would not be involved in parental consultations for determining routes.
