On Tuesday, 14th October, all members of Burlingham House gathered in the Henrician Theatre for an assembly celebrating the achievements of their peers.
Among those recognised were the newly elected House Ambassadors and House Leaders for Burlingham:
Year 9 House Ambassador – David Rusnak
Year 10 House Ambassador – Jake Paul
Year 11 House Ambassador – Farid Taylor
Year 12 House Leaders – Charlotte Poole and Tamsin Smith
Additionally, those who have taken part in recent inter-house sporting fixtures received our appreciation for their efforts on the Rugby and Hockey pitches.
Following this, House Point Awards were given to students who have been recognised by their teachers as having worked diligently and embodied the Prince Henry’s values, both within the classroom and beyond. Members of the Senior Leadership Team presented thirty Burlingham students with awards in total, with Emily Byrd, even receiving the Special Recognition Award in acknowledgement of her staggering total of 300 House Points.
I hope to see even more members of Burlingham House on stage receiving awards at the next House Assembly and being congratulated not only for the outstanding classwork they produce, but also for arriving to school promptly every morning, maintaining excellent attendance rates and putting themselves forward to participate in some of the many inter-house competitions available at Prince Henry’s High School.
Mr Dingley
Head of Burlingham House.
