Business Fayre 2024

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas … therefore it must be time for Prince Henry’s Y10 Business Fayre. Business students had the opportunity to put into practice the enterprise and business management knowledge they have gained from their lessons. Each student was asked to work in a small team to plan a business idea for a product or service to sell at the annual fayre. In doing so, they needed to consider their target market, the feasibility of their idea, and the likely breakeven point for their enterprise.

Each class ran a “Dragon’s Den” evaluation process, where the students presented their proposals to their classmates, from which two groups were selected per class. The following Thursday, the ten chosen businesses set up their stalls in the small gym, which was subsequently attended by the rest of the school, eager for a bargain and/or entertainment.

Much hilarity and festivity ensued, with some profit, but even more practical experience. Well done students!
