On 8th October, our Year 12 and 13 drama students had the wonderful opportunity to attend a twilight workshop session on our set text ‘Brontë’ delivered by Ginny Hemming, the movement coach from the Cheltenham Playhouse Theatre. The students thoroughly enjoyed exploring the text working on physicality, characterisation, themes and intentions. Along with the English Literature A Level students, we had all seen the play in September so this was a lovely opportunity for a follow-up with Q and A session. Our drama students found the session incredibly useful and had the chance to discuss the production and how certain scenes evolved as Ginny also played the role of Charlotte in the production.
