BREXIT DEBATE

On Tuesday Year 13 had a BREXIT debate during their IaG lesson. They listened to the arguments for both sides put forward by local businessmen Derek Bennett (Leave) and Lawrence Brewer (Remain). Students asked questions of both speakers and there were some quite feisty exchanges of ideas with our students proving that they had strong opinions on both sides of the debate. At the end, a vote was taken with the students voting overwhelmingly (4:1) in favour of remaining. The debate continued on into afternoon lessons with students discussing both the content of the debate and also on different styles of delivery.
