BREATHTAKING PERFORMANCES
Our Evening of Music was a wonderful occasion and my special thanks to Mr. Bullas, all the staff and students for putting on such a fantastic showcase. The talent of our musicians was immense. We were delighted to see James Kirk on stage, despite having been taken ill on the previous day. Thanks to William Clark for standing in for James on the drum kit at the very last minute.
The show stopper though, was the “Star Wars” number, performed by Prince Henry’s Barbershop. The smoke machine which produced the galactic atmosphere on stage, malfunctioned and produced a little too much smoke, setting off the fire alarm. The evacuated audience waiting at the rear of the theatre for the alarms to be reset, were entertained by the Barber shop “al fresco”. Following a visit by the fire brigade, everyone insisted that “the show must go on”. We are looking forward to the Christmas Concert on Thursday, 18th December and I have been advised that the Barbershop are not singing “Smoke gets in your eyes”!
Our special thanks to Tony Smith (EAA) and the Evesham Fire Brigade for ensuring our show could continue.
