A group of Year 9 students were invited to a COP21 Symposium kindly hosted by Malvern St James.
Students engaged in a variety of tasks linking to the environment and how they can sustain it. Tasks included dissecting pellets that are the undigested parts of an owl’s food, working with other attending schools on mind-maps and using VR headsets to experience daily lives of Ugandan children effected by global warming.
Guest speakers included Energy Tracers, Edukid, Malvern Hills Foodbank, Malvern Green Space, Repair Cafe, Target4green and Worcester and Malvern Local RSPB Group.
All students were exemplary and have come away with ideas and enthusiasm for sustainability projects that they can get involved in at Prince Henry’s.
