CELEBRATING ARTS MARK GOLD
Artsmark is Arts Council England’s flagship programme to enable schools and other organisations to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their arts and cultural provision within the areas of Art, Drama, Music and Dance. It is delivered by Trinity College London. The application is a rigorous one as arts provision and the quality of arts experience and opportunities for the whole school is audited. The Gold Artsmark award is nationally recognised as demonstrating excellence within these areas.
We were inspected in September of this year and we are delighted to have been awarded Gold showing our excellent arts provision here at Prince Henry’s.
We look forward to continuing our varied and interesting programme of events. We began the year with our Evening of Remembrance and look forward to our Music Evening at the end of this month as well as the RSC Live Broadcast to over 200 students of ‘The Two Gentlemen of Verona’ on the 20th November. The PHHS Christmas concert, our School Play ‘A ‘Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and our Annual Summer Art Show are among some of the forthcoming events in this year’s exciting school Arts calendar.
